Hello, my name's Julie and I'm a sophomore. I live in Elmira, NY which is about an hour and a half away from Cortland. I'll be 19 on September 19th.
This is my third attempt at this course and I'm not too proud of it. I tried this course in high school for ACE college credits but I only passed the first half of the course. I attempted it last semester as an online course and it was horrible. I'm not too fond of e-mail and computers, or technology as a matter of fact. It always seems to screw up for me. I dropped that course after the website deleted my essay one too many times.
I'm a biology major here at Cortland. I love learning about the environment and the human body. I was contemplating about becoming a marine biologist or a nutritionist but I've decided I'm going to join the Peace Corp. after I graduate college. I want to help underprivileged people and their communities.
I'm a very active individual. I love sports, whether I'm playing or watching them. I've played soccer for a little over 9 years. I kick box during the summer while I'm home from school. I work out and run frequently. I used to swim and play basketball.
Well, I hope you've enjoyed my first blog ever.

Online classes are terrible. I actually like computers/technology and I still won't ever take another online class. I got a C in a class over this summer that should have been an easy A if I took it during the school year. Miserable.
i think the peace corps is a good idea and should be an interesting time but i also think that you could be the next jacques cousteau.
julie julie julie..you are a ray of sunshine...lol....i love having class with you...although this isnt repeated for me like you....no one is perfect...you love bio i dont which is why i have repeated that about three times...lol...stay positive cause you are a DIVA!!!!!!
third times a charm
YEa i hear you with them online class's. I took 12 credits one summer all online and it was the worst 5 weeks of my life. I also play soccer to. i been playing since i'm 3 yrs old. I played here at cortland my first year but i tore my ACl and getting surgery this december. Don't let the digital world get you down though.
i hope i am not as unfortunate as you and have to take this course 3 times, i will probably just quit college if that happens. i hate english and writing courses, they are deffinately what i struggle with the most.
It's cool that you play soccer...i've been playing for 14 years and kinda disappointed its all over but i've found other things to keep me busy. goodluck on the class
you are not alone although this is my first time taking this class english was never one of my best majors, and think of it like this if you took it that many times you should do good this time around
This is great that you plan to work with natural environment. But do not give up on English. Trust me, it's a big gift to know your own language, and you will be fine.
